Shared Meals & Cultural Exchange
At Agape Source, we believe that food is a powerful connector, bringing people together in a way that transcends cultural boundaries. Our welcome events are designed to create an atmosphere where new arrivals can feel at home while enjoying authentic dishes from their homeland, such as mapo tofu and hongshao rou. One of the most rewarding parts of these gatherings is watching friendships form, especially when individuals connect with fellow countrymen. It’s easier to build relationships when you're surrounded by familiar faces and flavors, and we provide a space where people can bond over shared experiences. Whether it’s through celebrating traditional holidays or simply gathering for a meal, these events foster community and lasting connections that help make Central Florida feel like home.
Homestay Program
Our Homestay Program offers internationals the chance to stay short-term with an American family, providing a unique cultural exchange. Both hosts and guests gain enriching experiences through shared meals, stories, and day-to-day life. It’s a wonderful way for internationals to feel supported while adjusting to a new environment. Many hosts and guests alike describe the experience as transformative, making it one of the most cherished parts of our program.
Personalized Support
At Agape Source, a holistic, individualized approach is taken to support internationals as they adjust to life in a new country. Support is tailored to each person’s unique needs, whether it's assistance with navigating the healthcare system, transportation to ethnic supermarkets, or coaching for personal and professional development. Help is provided with housing, transportation, and connecting individuals to local resources, such as schools or legal services. The goal is to offer comprehensive support, ensuring internationals thrive and feel at home in Central Florida.
Introduction to Christianity
For those curious to learn more about Christianity, we offer open discussions where internationals can explore faith in a safe and respectful environment. We share our personal experiences, values, and stories in a way that encourages understanding and dialogue, while ensuring that everyone feels comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
